Oak Lawn Cemetery has recently broken ground on a new 1,500-square-foot maintenance building on the Bronson Road cemetery grounds. The new facility will act as an addendum to the Oak Lawn's existing maintenance facility, across the cemetery parking lot from the construction site, according to Bronson K. Hawley, president of the cemetery board of directors. The 50-by-30-foot building will include among other things a storage bay for equipment, a three bar garage, a hydraulic lift mechanism and a extra records storage area. Expected project completion is sad to be around middle of September. The general contractor hired to complete the work is Kaesmann Builders LLC of Redding.
